Susan Norris

A powerful voice for hope, international speaker and activist Susan Norris helps teens and women find freedom from strongholds. When she learned of girls as young as nine years old being trafficked for sex in her own city (Atlanta), Susan set out on a quest to free and protect them.

Known to many as Miss Susan, this woman of boldness has spent countless hours listening to, comforting, and helping survivors, their families, detectives, and even a former pimp. She is a voice for victims and a catalyst for action among her peers. Her book, Rescuing Hope, provides a realistic portrayal of how a child becomes a victim of sex trafficking and serves as a source of hope and insight to those who read it.

A CLASS certified speaker, Susan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master’s of Education. She taught in public and private schools and served as a leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes before being called to full time ministry. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and children and considers them to be her highest calling.

She has spoken at over a dozen events, including at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Atlanta’s “Dolls in the City” event. Shannon Ethridge

Shannon Ethridge

Contributor

Shannon Ethridge (MA, Counseling and Human Relations) is a million-copy bestselling author, speaker, lay counselor, and advocate for healthy sexuality. She has spoken to youth, college students, and adults since 1989 on topics including: embracing a life of sexual integrity, sexual and emotional fulfillment in marriage, and equipping parents to instill sexual values in their children.

Shannon’s passion for healthy sexuality began in an unlikely location: Mortuary College. Her first career choice led Ethridge to the embalming room, where many of the deceased had died of AIDS or committed suicide as a result of an HIV positive diagnosis. Because of her own promiscuous teenage years, she believed is was a miracle she was standing over the embalming table rather than lying on top of it. She began speaking boldly and bluntly to teen, college-age, and adult audiences about the benefits of sexual integrity.

The author of 19 books, including the best-selling Every Woman’s Battle series, the 5-book Completely His series, and The Sexually Confident Wife, Shannon Ethridge has become a “go-to” expert for media seeking commentary on sexuality and spirituality. Her next book is a response to the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon and is entitled The Fantasy Fallacy: Exposing the Deeper Meaning Behind Sexual Thoughts (Thomas Nelson, October 2012). Shannon had contemplated writing about sexual fantasy for three years, but the E.L. James trilogy drove her to tackle the topic now.

Shannon has been featured on The Today Show, appeared on the cover of Today’s Christian Woman Magazine, and is a frequent guest on international radio & television shows such as The 700 Club, Life Today television, Family Life Today radio, and New Life Live! radio. She will speak for the first time at select Women of Faith events during late 2012.

Although grateful for her roles as writer and speaker, Shannon is most passionate about her roles as wife and best friend to her husband of 22 years and as a mother and cheerleader to their two children.

Angie has been described as the “fun sister next door.” And like a real sister, she will make you laugh as well as challenge you to drink deeper from the well of God’s grace. She has written an e-book to the heart of women, titled Clutter Free Simplicity. Her book encourages women to clear the clutter in their hearts and homes by focusing on what is really important – their daily walk with Jesus.

Although she loves connecting with women and writing on her blog at Finding Joy in Everyday MOMents, one of Angie’s most important ministries is being a wife to her childhood sweetheart and mama to one princess and three princes. They enjoy camping, swimming, and acting out the TV show Chopped. Their house may be chaotic at times, but it is full of love.
